Presentation

Guillermo Blázquez is a PhD student from the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia, working in the Radio Astronomy and Galactic Structure Department. He is doing his PhD thesis on ‘ The study of the initial phases of planetary system formation’ . Guillermo is interested in molecular outflows and jets around young stars as well as debris disks in mature exoplanetary systems. Most of his PhD thesis relies on observations in the cm, mm, and submm wavelength range, using radio interferometers as ALMA.  He also carries out  theoretical simulations of outflows.

Research interest

  • Star and planet formation
  • Multiple systems
  • Protoplanetary disks
  • Outflows emanating from young stars
  • Radio astronomy
