Gary Fuller is Professor of Astrophysics at the Jodrell Bank
Astrophysics Centre, Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of
Manchester. He is recently working on the development of low noise
amplifiers for millimeter/submillimeter radio telescopes, and his
current research focuses on the formation and early evolution of massive
stars. This ranges from studying the formation and evolution of dense
clusters that collapse to form massive stars to studying the early
evolution of protostars.

Gary is the lead scientist for the UK ALMA Regional Center (ARC) Node in
Manchester. This node supports all ALMA users in the UK and is a key
component of the Interferometry Centre of Excellence at JBCA. “As we
enter the SKA era, we are investigating how this center will evolve to
support SKA”.
