María Dolores Hurtado Espejo

María Dolores Hurtado Espejo

Star Formation, RadioAstronomy

Senior technician (M2)

María Dolores is researching the accretion and ejection processes of matter during star formation in the Orion Molecular Cloud. She graduated in Physics in 2021 from University of Murcia, has three years of work experience as a software developer in Madrid, and holds a Master’s degree in Physics specializing in Particle Physics and Astrophysics from University of Granada. As her Master’s Thesis, she carried out the study “Peculiar Protostars in the Orion Star-Forming Region”. She has worked on the analysis of radio interferometric data and the characterization of sources thanks to the JAE-Intro ICU grant. Currently, she continues her research in this region as a senior technician at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (CSIC).
