Rafael Navarro is working with Dr Mayra Osorio modelling dwarf protoplanetary disks in binary systems. He obtained an MSc in astrophysics from UCM in 2022, and will start his PhD at Kapteyn Astronomical Institute in 2022 fall.

Rafael Navarro is working with Dr Mayra Osorio modelling dwarf protoplanetary disks in binary systems. He obtained an MSc in astrophysics from UCM in 2022, and will start his PhD at Kapteyn Astronomical Institute in 2022 fall.

Rafael is interested in high redshift extragalactic astronomy and also optical/NIR and radio observational astronomy and protoplanetary disk radiative transfer modelling. His favourite topics also include data analysis, astrophysical modelling and scientific software development.

Master Thesis: ALMA [OIII]μm Emitters. Signpost of Early Stellar Buildup and Reionization in the Universe. Supervisors: Luis Colina Robledo and Javier Álvarez Márquez (CAB-INTA-CSIC).

 

Bachelors Thesis: Structural Relations of remote galaxies from the CANDELS catalogue. Supervisor: Jesús Gallego Maestro (IPARCOS-UCM).
